SALT AND STRAW + PIRATES: PIRATES OF THE CHOCOLATY CARIBBEAN

To support the Memorial weekend release of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES, I partnered with ice cream superstars Salt & Straw to develop a flavor worthy of many Ayys! and Arrrrs! This chain of artisanal shops serves up scoops of quirky, fun, sometimes weird, but always incredible flavors in locations in Portland and throughout California. We worked with them on a flavor completely unique to the West Hollywood location filled with rum flavor and Caribbean chocolate. We created marketing collateral for them to use, and then launched an online competition for prizes and tickets to an advanced screening of the film with the hashtag #ScoopThePlank. 

People were so excited for the promotion, and after over 100,000 impressions, hundreds of customers, dozens of brain freezes, a few excited winners, and one too many sugar highs on my end (no regrets), the promotion would only have been made better if Orlando Bloom himself came to serve up those scoops (maybe next time, a girl can dream?)
