COOKIE GOOD + GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2: HOOKED ON A FEEL GOOD FRIDAY
In celebration of the release of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2, I established a partnership with the wildly popular Santa Monica dessert shop, Cookie Good, to create a cookie that had just as much punch and personality as the film itself. Not only did our 'Groot' cookie look and taste AMAZING, but it generated awareness and excitement for the upcoming film in the LA community.
We took over the store for two weeks, decorating the place with Guardians themed promotional items and a life size cutout of Baby Groot as well as blasting tunes from the soundtrack of both films. All of this culminated into our "Hooked on a Feel Good Friday" event at the store, which is a play on their "Feel Good Friday" promotions as well as the most associated song from the first film, "Hooked on a Feeling." We passed out free Groot cookies and promoted a social media contest in which participants could share a photo of themselves with the cookie featuring #CookieGroot for their chance to win a Guardians prize pack!
​ Overall the promotion was incredibly successful, delivered over 20,000 impressions, supported a family run business, and allowed me to put all my favorite candy bars into what may have been the best cookie I have ever eaten (seriously, if you live in LA and haven't been to Cookie Good I am silently shaming you through this screen. go. NOW.)
