HI, I'M LEXI

a creative thinker, storyteller, innovator, and adventurer

A little about me— I graduated Cum Laude and with Honors from UCLA with a degree in Communication Studies and a passion for creative endeavors – marketing, publicity, event management, advertising, promotions, project coordination- anything that allows me to connect people to ideas and craft transformative moments. In the past  few of years, I have visited three different continents, orchestrated a 10,000 student concert and 70+ entertainment related events, finished a two year stint at Walt Disney Studios, baked over 1,000 loaves of bread, won an international Dutch cheese competition, and planned and permitted events for a city of almost 500,000 people. Currently, I work in creative marketing for the LA Kings!

Please take a look around, grab a drink and stay awhile, and get to know me a little bit better. Feel free to connect with questions, comments, or just to say hi! I love hearing a good story, seeing a cute dog, or getting a recommendation on podcasts/food/music/film/TV/etc.

PROFESSIONAL OUTLOOK

I work at the intersection of innovation and experience, to craft everything I do with the thought process of a trailblazer yet the care of a traditionalist. I strive to contribute to a company that rejects complacency, strives for constant growth and development, thinks creatively, and seeks to shape the future rather than follow it.

EDUCATION

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES

2013-2017 | Communication Studies, B.A.

I completed an interdisciplinary curriculum that spanned multiple majors, sciences, and disciplines. Communications encouraged me to build a comprehensive knowledge of the nature of human communication across multiple levels of analysis (mass communication, media institutions, interpersonal communication, technology & digital systems, and political & legal communication) as well as accumulate real world-applicable experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, event management, etc.

In choosing to complete optional coursework in a variety of other subjects (Anthropology, Spanish, Global Markets, Human Biology and Society, Theater, Political Science, Film & TV) my approach to problem solving, brainstorming, leadership, and project coordination is one that combines multiple perspectives and methods of communication.
